So, the question is, CAN anybody stop the Gators offense? It's tough enough trying to prevent a QB scrambling for a first down when nothing's open downfield. Now, you have to deal with a quarterback that can run better than half the running backs in the conference. The second touchdown scored by the Gators in their victory over Florida State today highlights the heart of the offense. Tebow rolls left, appears to be throwing, nobody has him covered, and he runs it in himself. Try to stop him on the ground? He'll beat you with his arm. He's thrown for 1943 yards and 14 touchdowns this season and would probably have more if the Gators didn't blow out their opponents every week. He's not the only star on this Gators team either. Gators not named Tebow (Jefferey Demps and company) have rushed for 1823 yards, good for 6.29 yards per carry, which would be second best in college football. It's been three years since Tebow has taken over for Florida, and to this date, nobody seems to really have an answer for Tim Tebow and the Gators. They've compiled an unbelievable 34-5 record (4 of those losses coming in 2007, Tebow's first year as a starter) and will play Alabama next week for the SEC Championship and, should they win that, Texas in the BCS Championship Game (barring an epic collapse by the Longhorns). Will either team figure out how to stop Tebow? Maybe, but one thing's for sure: if they do manage to stop him, they had better give a Nobel Prize or something to the defensive coordinator responsible.
and then the niners should hire that coordinator =D
